BEEsparkT is here to excite your inner muse.

Here’s how it works:

A new "spark" appears, periodically, in the app. It could be an idea, a phrase, or a juxtaposition. Use that spark to ignite an idea, then use your digital device to create it—be it a drawing, collage, or manipulated photograph.

Now share your creation through the BEEsparkT Flickr group. Your idea, and those from other creative people, will begin to appear in the app. Get inspired by other members, leave comments, or just enjoy the outpouring of inventive images.

• See the creations for the current “spark” right in the app
• Set (up to three) weekly reminders to get creative, or check out what others have done.
• Upload* your creation to the BEEsparkT group, directly from the app**.
• Double-tap an image to jump to it on Flickr; provide artistic feedback!

BEEsparkT was inspired by the Surrealists and their games. But to play, you needed people. Sure, there are “surreal” idea generator apps that will string random words together, but you need more than that. BEEsparkT is more than words, phrases, and some random images. It brings together a group of creative individuals that both nurture, and are inspired by, your creative process.

Once you sign up and choose the day and time to be buzzed, you’ll get a spark that’s both specific and vague enough to challenge your thinking. These sparks aren’t random; they’re curated by a team of professional artists. And you wont be alone. The BEEsparkT Flickr group will offer support and camaraderie from a new, monitored, community. Help us build an energetic group (based on the former success of art communities like MAAP, the Jumping Group, iphoneart, and others).

* You must have an account on Flickr. The app will add your account to the BEEsparkT group, if it’s not already.

** You can also contribute images to the BEEsparkT group through the Flickr website or using any other Flickr app. If you do, please add the correct machine tag for the “spark” you’re working on (BEEsparkT:week=nn, where ‘nn’ is the spark identifier). Note that the BEEsparkT app automatically does this for you, when you upload through the app.
